Using the NAVSPLF and NAVTXTF, you have the ability to convert spoolfiles or unformatted textfiles into a database file.

This is carried out using specific selection of records and record types within the spoolfile or textfile and mapping these selected records into defined data fields. Data from spoolfile/textfile headers can be merged with detail records to create a complete database file.

Once the record selection and database definitions have been defined, you may run the conversions in batch mode without interaction.
